Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi, elevates two sons of late Bayero

Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, has elevated the late Bayero’s son, Aminu Ado Bayero, to the position of Wambai and Ahmad Ado Bayero.
Emir Sanusi announced the appointments and reshuffling at his palace over the weekend, saying it became necessary following the death of Tijjani Hashim, Galadiman Kano, which created a vacant position that had to be filled.
Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, who until his elevation, was the Sarkin Dawakin Tsakar Gida, will now assume the position of Wambai, which is the second in the hierarchy among emir’s sons.
Ahmad Ado Bayero would also leave his position of Tafida to Abdullahi Sanusi, uncle to Emir Sanusi II, to become Sarkin Dawakin Tsakar Gida.
The son of the late Tijjani Hashim, Galadiman Kano, Barde Tijjani Hashim, was also appointed to the position of Dan Isan Kano, a former position occupied by Abdullahi Sanusi, uncle to the Emir.
Meanwhile, the senior councilor in the emirate, Alhaji Abbas Sanusi, another uncle to Emir Sanusi II, succeeded the late Tijjani Hashim, Galadiman Kano, and was promoted to take on the position.
