World Bank to help Buhari improve Nigeria’s Economy

The President, Muhammadu Buhari has held talks with the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of the World Bank, Missus Sri Indrawati who is on a working visit to Nigeria to help the country improve her economy.
The meeting lasted for about an hour after which she held a press conference with State House correspondents.
She said part of the discussions were challenges facing the Nigerian economy, low commodity pricing, challenge of climate change, insecurity, job creation, poverty eradication and fight against corruption.
They also discussed the need to diversify the economy away from oil as well as improvement on tax drive.
Missus Indrawati said she looks forward to Nigeria having a healthy and transparent budget that will address all the issues enumerated.
She also noted that her organization will support in any way to deliver healthy and good governance as well as effectively support the people and the economy in the areas of infrastructure and agriculture.
